Can you double glaze Crittall windows/doors? Yes. The Corporate 2000 range accommodates glazing of up to 1 inch; the Corporate W20 up to 5/8 inch and Berkeley range can utilize up to 3/4 inch double glazed units. The Residential Homelight range can be fitted with glazing up to 9/16 inch (but not in 'Georgian style' windows).
Which Crittall product do I need? This is dependent upon your specifications. No other manufacturer of steel windows offers as comprehensive a range of hot rolled sections allowing maximum custom capabilities and responsiveness to individual projects.

Corporate 2000, W20 and Berkeley products are manufactured for use in commercial, institutional and high-end residential projects. The Homelight Range is traditionally used in residential or refurbishment projects where smaller, lighter weight windows don't require the weight or depth of a larger section.
Do Crittall windows/doors rust? All Crittall products are hot dip galvanized after manufacture to ASTM 123A. Hot dip galvanizing is the only way to totally protect against rust corrosion and is standard on all Crittall products.
Do steel windows/doors need to be painted? Crittall windows and doors are polyester powder coated. Epoxy free polyester powder is electrostatically sprayed onto the surface and baked on. Therefore, re-painting is a thing of the past and there is a huge array of colors to choose from.
How secure are Steel windows/doors? Steel is three times stronger than aluminum and many times stronger than wood. The strength of steel provides added security.
